ICONS 5.7 : CLOWNVILLE
A Fine Art Photography Series that became a viral hit on the web, exhibitions in Brazil, Italy, and Russia, and now a dedicated Clownville Art Box of 5 fine art prints personally selected by the Italian-French author. Realized over the past ten years with the invaluable help of makeup artist Valeria Orlando.

Biba Giacchetti created a collection of Art Boxes with the works of Steve McCurry, Giampaolo Barbieri, Christian Cravo and Eolo Perfido.
Designed by Anders Weinar and customized for each author, each Art Box contains 5 fine arts prints and is produced in an edition of 7.
EOLO PERFIDO
" I think the image of the Clown well represents people of today’s society : funny, but sad at the same time, wearing a mask that is tragic, grotesque and ambiguous. Freely inspiring myself to some characters of the mute cinema (in particular, Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, with their clown-like characteristics due to the heavy make up and the excessive gesture that was necessary in order to broadcast expressions emotions and action) and fascinated by the whole production of Fellini, with his dreamlike atmospheres (on top of all, the movie Le notti di Cabiria), the idea of taking portraits themed around Clowns started dawning on me. I ended up liking the making of the first photo so much that I turned it into a series that is still in progress. Among the Clowns that posed for me there are not only well knows clowns, actors and photographers, but also family and close friends. "
