Today I've been invited to talk about my studio and work at the 2013 edition of the " Roma Foto Festival " organized by the Rome School of photography (Scuola Romana di fotografia). After the speech I was pleased to review some of the partecipating people's portfolios and to share with them exepriences, tricks and tips.
Scuola Romana di Fotografia
Today I was invited as an external member of the commission that has been judging the second year of the "Three Years master course" held at the Scuola Romana di Fotografia (Rome School of Photography). So many students and so many compelling works. For a professional photographer is always a very interesting experience to enter in contact with the students efforts. Its a way to get inspired or to ask yourself questions about your own work. It a way to recharge the passion for photography and to learn different and unexpected perspectives.
Portraiture, Reportage, Still life, Conceptual Photography, Fashion and Personal Works. An incredible mixture of styles and suggestions.
Together with me a panel of personatilies of italian photography such as Riccardo Improta, Riccardo Spila, Massimo Mastrorillo, Irene Alison, Nazario dal Poz, Mario Rullo and Carla Magrelli.
Tomorrow another day, examining the work of the third and last year of the course.
The last step before the beginning of a wonderful journey.
Here we have my producer Carla Magrelli working together with Daniele (hidden behind the printer) on my prints for the event hold by the Roman School of Photography. They have been carefully printing my pics on a shiny Epson 4880.
I really love to see Carla with only one glove :-) At the end of the day we deserved one of the most delicious chocolate plum cake I had in my life.
In the last picture, Carla is holding her own Clownville picture. She was one of the first subjects to pose for the project.
