Dolomiti Mountains: Photoshop CS6 HDR Test

Dolomiti Mountains HDR

One of the pictures I took during my little holiday on the Dolomiti Mountains in Italy. I took a Raw image with my Canon 5D MKIII and the 24-105mm f/4 Canon lens.

Than back home I developed it trying to keep all the middle tones in Photoshop CS6 Camera Raw.

Than I wanted to test the HDR Capabilities of the program.  I think that the result is quite interesting even if some of the clouds are a bit burned. I’m sure I’ll soon test it with more images.

Playing with water and colors

Water Art

Today we made some water tests in studio. I saw on the internet some very cool examples of water art and i decided to give a try.

We used Tempera colors mixed with water and milk. Probably we will test other materials soon to understand how they react mixed with water.

The lighting was made using two Canon 580Ex compact flashes on both sides of the small aquarium we used for the tests.

The camera was a Canon 5D Mark III with a 35mm f/2 lens. We shot at 1/200 with f22. Flash were in manual 1/16 of the power.

Summer is finishing, back to work

Back to work and back to Mars

Back to work full of energy after few days of holidays. Some Photoshop retouching on my lovely Wacom Cintiq 21UX while switching between the London 2012 Olympic Games and NASA TV for news about Curiosity.

Notice my beautiful wallpaper ;-)
